RateGain announced on 7 October 2026 that Vietnam Airlines, the country's national flag carrier, has chosen AirGain, RateGain's pricing intelligence platform for airlines, to strengthen its rate shopping and competitive pricing.
What Vietnam Airlines gets
The agreement gives the airline access to AirGain's competitive fare intelligence covering more than 300 airlines, over 170 online travel agencies and more than 50 metasearch platforms. RateGain highlights high-frequency rate shopping and 99.95% uptime.
From a single interface, revenue teams can follow fare movements across direct and indirect channels, detect market shifts early and move from reactive adjustments to more deliberate, strategy-led pricing.
Market context
Vietnam Airlines flies an extensive network across Asia, Europe and beyond. Vietnam recorded more than 21 million international arrivals in 2025 and a 17.7% year-on-year increase in the first quarter of 2026, according to the Tourism Information Technology Center cited by RateGain. That growth makes it one of the region's fastest-expanding travel markets, with fare competition across channels intensifying.
Comment
Vinay Varma, Senior Vice President and General Manager at AirGain, said the company was excited to support Vietnam Airlines as it strengthens its international position. In a market where pricing decisions must be "both fast and precise", he said, AirGain helps bring clarity to complex signals so teams can move toward proactive, strategy-led decisions.
What's next for AirGain
Vietnam Airlines joins a growing group of carriers using AirGain. RateGain says it will soon launch Smart Search, a natural-language feature that lets revenue teams query pricing insights directly, reducing reliance on multiple dashboards.
