Profitroom's Booking Engine 360 has been named Best Tech Product (Over 100 Employees) at the Boutique Hotelier Awards 2026, presented in London at an event bringing together leading names in independent and luxury hospitality.
What was recognised
Profitroom says the win reflects the work of more than 350 staff and its partnerships with the over 4,500 hotels and resorts it supports worldwide. Booking Engine 360 is built on the idea that a booking engine should sell more than a room: dinners, spa treatments, golf, packages and other extras are brought together in a single direct booking journey so hotels can show what makes them distinctive.
Profitroom reports that across its UK partner portfolio, guests booking directly generate an average booking value 132% higher than OTA guests and also stay longer.
The company's view
Patryk Luszcz, UK Regional Director at Profitroom, says the team does not "innovate for the sake of innovation" and that everything starts with hoteliers' challenges. "A hotel isn't simply selling a bed for the night. It's selling an experience, and the direct booking journey should give guests the opportunity to discover and book that experience properly," he says.
He adds that hoteliers need partners "who understand their business, listen to the challenges they're facing and continue evolving alongside them," and that hotel partners help shape what Profitroom builds next.
Evolving with the industry
Founded in 2008, Profitroom has grown from booking technology into a broader set of tools for direct reservations, booking value, guest experience and guest relationships. It points to rising guest expectations and AI-driven changes in how travellers discover hotels as key influences on Booking Engine 360's roadmap, particularly for boutique properties whose individuality can be hard to convey online.

In 2025, the platform was named Booking, Ordering and Payment Solution of the Year at The Caterer Supplier Awards.
"Awards like this give us a moment to celebrate, but they also raise the bar," Luszcz says.
