Munich-based hotel technology provider dailypoint has introduced a free, anonymous AI Readiness Check designed to help hotels judge whether they are in a position to get real value from artificial intelligence. The company announced the tool on 21 October 2026.
The gap behind the tool
The launch follows dailypoint's analysis of the h2c Global Study 2026. According to the study, 91% of participating hotel chains already use AI technologies, yet only 13% report a measurable return on investment. Other findings point to weak data foundations: 69% of hotels using AI-based solutions still manage or enrich guest preferences by hand, just 19% use AI to pull preferences out of guest interactions, and only 42% have a central guest profile database.
Dr. Michael Toedt, CEO and founder of dailypoint, argues that the next hurdle is data rather than adoption. "AI is only as smart as the hotel data available to it," he said, adding that clean, unified guest data from every system and property is what turns the technology into real value.
How dailypoint approaches it
dailypoint's Central Data Management platform brings information from multiple source systems into a single guest profile, which is continuously cleaned and structured by its Data Laundry™ process. On top of that foundation, AI can support guest recognition, preference detection, marketing automation, reputation management and personalized messaging. One example is the AI Profile Snapshot, which summarizes a guest's preferences, history and context for hotel teams.
Inside the assessment
The readiness check consists of 18 questions across six areas, covering data foundations, governance, privacy, security, use cases, business culture and marketing. It takes around five minutes, and participants immediately receive a score from 0 to 100, a rating of their current readiness level and practical recommendations for next steps.
At The Hospitality Show
dailypoint is exhibiting at The Hospitality Show in Miami from 2 to 4 November 2026 at booth 2820, where its Bridge App is one of ten semi-finalists for the HTNG/AHLA TechOvation Award.
