TPG Hotels & Resorts manages more than 650 hotels in over 350 cities across 40-plus states, a mix of independent and branded properties. A Stayntouch customer story explains how the company used Stayntouch PMS to bring consistency to the data from its independent hotels.
The challenge
Independent hotels were spread across several PMS platforms, each configuring room types, market segments and rates differently. That made portfolio analysis hard for Michael Brown, VP of Business Intelligence. "We really wanted to unify them all on a single platform," he says, noting that small hotels with lean teams also needed a system that was easy to use, set up and maintain.
Consistent data
On Stayntouch, TPG standardizes market segments, room types and data flows across properties, making it easier to feed PMS data into BI tools and compare hotels on the same structure. Because the platform is cloud-based, the team can see current performance anywhere. "Having more reliable and consistent data that's up to date enables us to make decisions in real time, really fast," Brown says.
Corporate rate plans let TPG deploy common offers, such as a Black Friday promotion with a single offer code, and measure results across participating hotels.
Standards with flexibility
Configuration can be set centrally while individual properties add what is specific to them. "The ability to really set stuff up on a corporate level helps us tremendously," Brown says.
Integrations that work
Brown's summary of integrations is short: "They work... Once it's done, it's done." That frees BI and operations teams to use data rather than manage the pipes.
Repeatable onboarding
A consistent Stayntouch onboarding team knows TPG's standards, giving the company a repeatable process as it adds hotels.
The result
Brown says the greatest value is "the consistency and the reliability. The product doesn't crash," giving TPG a solid foundation for portfolio reporting and faster revenue and operational decisions.
