Managing multiple data sources and disconnected systems is a daily challenge for hotel teams aiming to work smarter and faster. On June 19, 2025, the TECH Matchmaker Webinar Series featured four industry leaders—Cendyn, Juyo Analytics, Lighthouse, and Omni Boost—who shared practical solutions to help hotels unify their data, gain clearer insights, and empower their teams to make confident decisions.
Each presenter brought a unique perspective on how to harness smarter data integration and analytics to transform hotel operations, enhance guest experiences, and unlock revenue potential. Here’s a closer look at the session “Empowering Hotel Teams with Smarter Data,” including key takeaways and memorable insights from the experts themselves.
Cendyn – Driving personalization with unified data
Erika Bucsi, Enterprise Director EMEA & APAC
Erika Bucsi kicked off the session by emphasizing that data is only as good as how you use it. “Having data is just the start. The real power lies in using it every day—and getting your teams involved with KPIs that keep everyone accountable,” she said.
Cendyn’s platform centralizes guest profiles by connecting PMS, POS, and marketing data to fuel personalized communication and targeted campaigns. Erika explained, “Our goal is to help hotels move from reactive guest service to proactive personalization. When you truly understand your guests, you can anticipate needs and deliver memorable experiences.”
She also warned against a common pitfall: “Don’t collect more data before you fully leverage what you already have. Build a framework and make your data work for you.”
Juyo Analytics – Unlocking total revenue insights
Vassilis Syropoulos, Founder & CEO
Following Erika, Vassilis Syropoulos shared how Juyo Analytics broadens the revenue lens beyond rooms. “Hotels often miss out on the bigger picture because their data is siloed,” he said.
Juyo Analytics offers a holistic platform that captures total revenue performance—covering everything from F&B and retail to space utilization.
Vassilis highlighted:
- Comprehensive analytics that reveal guest spend trends across departments
- Real-time dashboards spotlighting untapped revenue opportunities
- Actionable insights that enable teams to align strategy and maximize profit
“When you break down walls between departments with data, you unlock value you didn’t know was there. It’s about seeing your hotel as one business, not isolated silos,” he added.
Lighthouse – Simplifying upsell and ancillary revenue management
Sara Al-Mukhtar, Regional Sales Manager EMEA
Sara Al-Mukhtar brought a fresh perspective on upselling with Lighthouse’s data-driven platform. “Upselling isn’t just about pushing extras—it’s about relevance and timing,” she noted.
Lighthouse integrates with hotel systems to deliver real-time insights that help teams identify the right moments and offers for guests. Key features she highlighted:
- Dynamic offer management that adapts to guest preferences and availability
- Deep integration with PMS and POS for holistic data visibility
- Performance dashboards tracking upsell success and optimizing revenue
Sara emphasized, “Our platform makes upselling easy and effective—helping hotel teams boost revenue without overwhelming their workflow.”
Omniboost – Simplifying hospitality data through unified connectivity
Rob Napoli, Chief Commercial Officer
Joining live from the U.S., Rob Napoli introduced Omniboost’s platform, designed to tackle one of hospitality’s biggest headaches: disconnected systems and manual data reconciliation.
“Our mission is simple,” Rob shared. “Reduce complexity, connect systems, and empower hotel teams with accurate, timely data.” Omni Boost integrates PMS, POS, and accounting software, automating workflows that once took weeks—like month-end closings—down to days.
Key points included:
- Support for thousands of hotels worldwide with flexible API and file-based integrations
- Real-time error tracking for proactive issue resolution
- Upcoming Unified Hospitality Dashboard to unify KPIs and deliver actionable insights
Rob closed with a powerful example: “A client onboarding 33 new properties mid-quarter slashed their closing time from 17 days to just 4. That’s the kind of impact smart connectivity delivers.”
Panel reflections: Mistakes to avoid and how to succeed
Moderator Vicky Varfis, Principal Consultant Partnership & Affiliations at ExploreTECH, wrapped up the session by asking each expert to share common mistakes hoteliers make with data—and advice for overcoming them:
- Erika Bucsi: “Not using data consistently and not holding teams accountable with KPIs are huge pitfalls. Data isn’t just for budgeting or crisis management—it should be part of daily decision-making.”
- Vassilis Syropoulos: “Trying to boil the ocean is a mistake. Focus on what matters most first, and approach data integration as a marathon, not a sprint.”
- Sara Al-Mukhtar: “Data can be intimidating, but it’s a tool—not a judgment. Use it as a co-pilot to guide better decisions.”
- Rob Napoli: “Garbage in, garbage out. Data quality and integrity must come first to ensure trust and value from your systems.”
Vicky added, “And never hesitate to reach out to your technology partners for support. They’re there to help you interpret and act on your data effectively.”
